Marty stares at it and asks, "are you supposed to see both eyes in this?"
It's not the cross or crucifix that Rust says he uses for meditation. That hangs over his bed. I wonder if that meditation on Christ in the garden, contemplating allowing himself to be crucified, isn't a crucial foreshadow.
